This course is designed specifically for staff with a designated responsibility as a Fire Marshal and provides the skills and confidence that will allow them to carry out their duties relating to ensuring the safe evacuation of the building.

Who should attend?

Staff who have are nominated as a Fire Marshal training should have been designated specific responsibilities in the event of a fire and to ensure the safe and effective evacuation of the building.

Fire Extinguisher Training

  • At the end of the course the delegate will be able to conduct a simple dynamic risk assessment to identify the correct type of extinguisher to deal with a small fire, how to use it and its limitations whilst ensuring their own personal safety

  • Types of Fire Extinguishers

  • Classification of Fires

  • Explanation why different types of extinguishers are necessary

– Methods of operation;

– Their capabilities and limitations.

  • This session provides each delegate with the opportunity to handle various types of extinguishers on live controlled fires.
